Aachen/Stuttgart, June 9, 2026 – Newly established WLF Energy Group today unveiled its strategy for building a vertically integrated clean-energy platform during Battery Show Europe in Stuttgart. As part of this initiative, the Battery Management Systems (BMS) business unit of PEM Motion GmbH, together with Cellovate GmbH, will become part of the WLF Energy Group.

Through this integration, WLF Energy strengthens its capabilities across the entire energy storage value chain—from energy generation and battery systems to intelligent software solutions.

The transaction represents a significant milestone for both companies. The BMS expertise developed by PEM Motion over years will become a key component of WLF Energy’s European growth strategy. At the same time, the transaction enables PEM Motion to further sharpen its focus on its core business areas: Battery Testing & Compliance, Battery Analysis, Engineering Services, and Training & Operations Support.

Building Strong BMS Competence

Since its foundation, PEM Motion has successfully supported a huge number of battery projects for customers in the automotive, industrial, off-highway, and energy storage sectors. Throughout this journey, the company’s BMS business unit has developed extensive expertise in the development, integration, and validation of advanced battery management systems.

The integration of the BMS business unit into the WLF Energy Group is a strong validation of the technological expertise and the relevance for the European energy industry. “We are pleased that the capabilities we have built will continue to grow within an environment that covers the entire energy storage value chain," said Dr. Christoph Deutskens.

"The energy transition requires companies capable of bringing together technologies across the entire value chain. By integrating PEM Motion’s BMS business unit and the Cellovate Battery Production Lab, we are strengthening our technological foundation and consistently

expanding our vertically integrated energy platform. Both teams bring outstanding expertise and will play an important role in advancing our European energy and storage solutions."

Strengthening Growth in Core Business Areas

For PEM Motion, the transaction creates new opportunities to further expand its core areas of expertise. The company will continue strengthening its position as an independent technology partner for testing services, battery analysis, certifications, regulatory compliance, and knowledge transfer in battery engineering.

PEM Motion will continue supporting international customers throughout the entire battery lifecycle while reinforcing its role as a trusted partner for innovation, quality assurance, and technical excellence.

With this step, both companies reaffirm their shared vision of actively advancing the development of high-performance and sustainable battery systems in Europe.

PEM Motion Sharpens Strategic Focus

The integration of the BMS business unit marks the next stage in PEM Motion’s development. Going forward, the company will focus its resources even more strongly on the rapidly growing fields of Battery Testing & Compliance, Battery Analysis, Engineering Services, and Training, Knowledge Transfer & Operations Support.

Combining industrial hands-on experience, scientific excellence, and international project expertise, PEM Motion remains an independent technology partner serving companies across the entire battery value chain.

"Over the past years, we have built a strong and highly capable BMS organization. Seeing this expertise become part of an international energy platform is a testament to the quality of our work and opens exciting new opportunities for our team. At the same time, it allows us to further strengthen our focus on the areas where we are already recognized as one of Europe’s leading battery service providers."
